The Light-Matter Interactions Unit (https://groups.oist.jp/light) at OIST Graduate University on the beautiful island of Okinawa, Japan, is seeking applicants from Europe or the US intersted in applying for a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (http://www.jsps.go.jp/english/e-fellow/postdoctoral_short.html) to work with them. The research areas that we cover include atom trapping, plasmonics, optical nanofibers, nonlinear optics, optical trapping, and whispering gallery resonators for optomechanics. The Light-Matter Interactions Unit is an international group of researchers with diverse backgrounds with a common goal of devising novel trapping schemes based on micro- and nano-optical components. The Unit was established in 2012 and has excellent research facilities including direct access to a nanofabrication facility on-site at OIST. We would be very happy to welcome you to join our team!
