TCG CREST – TCG Centres for Research and Education in Science and Technology aspires to be a world-leading research institute in the area of science and technology.
The objectives of TCG CREST are to conduct fundamental and translational research at the frontiers of both science and technology, and also to impart high quality education to PhD scholars. The Centre for Quantum Engineering, Research and Education (CQuERE) is one of the centres at TCG CREST dedicated to performing cutting edge research and high-quality education at the PhD level in the emerging areas of quantum science and technology, thereby train future researchers for academia as well as industry.
The areas of research currently being pursued at CQuERE are quantum computation theory including quantum algorithms and quantum machine learning, experimental quantum computing using superconducting qubits, photonic integrated circuits and nitrogen vacancy centres and cold atoms, quantum information and quantum communication theory.
CQuERE seeks to appoint faculty members at the levels of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor, in the areas of quantum algorithms, quantum error correction and fault tolerant quantum computing (theory) with emphasis on translational research. These positions are permanent with an initial probation period of 1 year. An excellent research record is required for all the positions, as demonstrated by publications in reputed journals. Applicants with industry experience will be given due consideration. Successful candidates will be expected to perform research at the forefront of quantum computing, supervise the work of PhD scholars, and teach PhD as well as introductory courses on quantum science and technology.
