The Institute of Theoretical Physics at Leibniz University Hannover invites applications for the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) starting at the earliest possible date. The position is limited to 1 year with a possible extension.
Job description
The opening is within the research group of Priv.-Doz. Dr. Hendrik Weimer and is funded by the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers. The successful candidate is expected to work on projects focussed on the many-body physics of open quantum systems. Membership within the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers as well as in the Collaborative Research Center “Designed quantum states of matter” is possible and encouraged.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a university degree and must have previous experience in advanced numerical techniques such as tensor network methods. Furthermore, a completed PhD degree in a relevant discipline is expected.
Part-time employment is possible.
