The QuPhotonics Lab is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our team, which focuses
on cutting-edge developments in quantum optics, quantum communication, and quantum networks, with strong ties to both
fundamental physics and emerging quantum technologies. You will play a central role in designing, building, and operating
state-of-the-art quantum optics experiments. We are especially interested in candidates eager to push the limits of real-world
quantum communication, from table-top experiments to fibre-based and free-space implementations.
Job Requirements:
• A PhD in experimental physics, quantum optics, photonics, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: nonlinear optics, single-photon detection, quantum state
characterization, fibre optics, or optical quantum information processing
• Strong hands-on skills in optics and instrumentation
• A track record of publications in high-impact journals
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Duration:
The fellowship is tenable for 2 years with the possibility of a further extension, depending on available funding. Please note that
postdoctoral fellows are not appointed as employees at SU and are therefore not eligible for employee benefits. Postdoctoral
fellowships are also awarded tax-free.
