The Lewis-Swan atomic, molecular, and optical physics(AMO) theory group at the Center of Quantum Research and Technology (University of Oklahoma) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher working on theoretical problems in quantum simulation and many-body non-equilibrium physics with arrays of Rydberg atoms. Topics of interest will include relaxation and transport in disordered spin models, information scrambling and entanglement. Work will be conducted in close collaboration with the experimental group of Prof. Grant Biedermann at the Center for Quantum Research and Technology.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or related area. Experience with Rydberg atoms, quantum simulation and many-body dynamics is favorable. The appointment is for up to three years, contingent on satisfactory performance and continued funding. The start date for the appointment is flexible, with potential to start immediately. Compensation for the position is competitive, with additional funding for travel available.
