The University of Bristol is seeking to fill a number of postdoctoral positions of two years’ duration, open to those with research interests in theoretical aspects of quantum information and foundations of quantum mechanics. You should have a strong background and excellent record of research in one or both of these fields, and have or be near to completing a relevant PhD.
Staff members in the group are: Sandu Popescu (Physics), Noah Linden (Mathematics), Tony Short (Physics) and Andreas Winter (Mathematics). The positions will be based either in the School of Physics or in the School of Mathematics by mutual agreement. The posts are funded by the European Commission, the European Research Council (ERC), the EPSRC and the John Templeton Foundation, will begin on 1st March 2013 or later by mutual agreement.
