Tenure-Track Professorship in Theoretical Physics (W2)

YOUR TASKS
The professorship will be established in the field of quantum optimal control for solid-state quantum computing. The successful candidate will work with cutting-edge methods including analytical solutions, numerical optimisation, machine learning, and feedback control, in close proximity to experimental realizations of superconducting quantum information devices. The professor will participate in major European and German research initiatives in the field of quantum technologies. The University of Cologne and the Forschungszentrum Jülich collaborate within the Cluster of Excellence „Matter and Light for Quantum Computing“ (ML4Q), and prospective collaboration in this project is encouraged. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching in theoretical physics

YOUR PROFILE
