Two postdoctoral positions in thermodynamics of quantum non-equilibrium systems at Trinity College Dublin

Two postdoctoral positions are available to work in the newly founded Thermodynamics and energetics of quantum systems group (QuSys) in the School of Physics at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland lead by Prof. John Goold. The successful candidates must hold a PhD degree in physics, theoretical physics or applied mathematics. The research interests of the group are available on the group website:

The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in a some of the following areas: quantum transport, numerical simulation of condensed matter systems, quantum thermodynamics or quantum information. The candidates should be enthusiastic and creative and comfortable with playing co-supervisory roles to students within the group.

The positions are initially available for a period of 3 years (2+1) but can be renewed for a further 2 years. The positions are part of the starting grant (ODYSSEY) from the European Research Council.
