Hybrid Quantum Device group, POSTECH

Short name:
HQD
Research type:

The Hybrid Quantum Device group, led by Prof. Junho Suh in the Department of Physics at POSTECH, explores the frontiers of quantum science and technology through solid-state devices that exhibit quantum phenomena across multiple physical domains. The group develops hybrid quantum devices that harness the interactions between photons, phonons, magnons, and electrons, using superconducting circuits coupled to mechanical and other bosonic degrees of freedom to implement two-level and harmonic-oscillator quantum states. By engineering controllable couplings between these disparate quantum systems, the group aims to create essential building blocks for processing and transducing quantum information within a scalable circuit platform, advancing multifunctional hybrid architectures for quantum communication, sensing, and computation.
