To support young talents on their transition from postdocs to independent researchers, MCQST is offering
Junior Researcher START Fellowships. With a total budget of 300.000 € for a funding-period of
two-years, the fellow has the opportunity to start her/his own scientific project in one of the research areas
of MCQST. The funds are flexible and may be spent in accordance with DFG rules for instrumentations,
staff, consumables, travels as well as for the fellow’s own salary. Laboratory and office space will be provided
by one of the MCQST Principle Investigators (PIs).

starting the next possible date. This fixed-term post is initially available for three years with the possibility of an extension.

The Group led by Prof. Radim Filip at Palacky University (http://muj.optol.cz/filip/) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in quantum parameter estimation with quantum non-Gaussian states of light and matter allowing error correction strategies. Expertise with non-Gaussian and nonlinear quantum optics, quantum cavity/circuit electrodynamics and physics of trapped atoms/ions will be valued, but an open-minded researcher ready for a new challenge is most welcome.

A fixed-term post-graduate / post-doctoral position is available until the end of March 2021 in the Department of Physics, to work in the group of Professor Tim Spiller, on an Innovate UK- funded project to design and build prototype research-led receivers for satellite QKD.

Open postdoc position in condensed matter simulations at Faculty of information studies in Novo Mesto, Slovenia

The position is in FLAG-ERA project Preparation and characterization of single/few layer antimonene and germanium (2D-Sb&Ge), which is already underway. The project revolves around development of new 2D materials (from one to several atomic layers of thickness) based on antimony and germanium, which have a huge applicative potential. The project’s goal is to understand how to create and use these new materials.
