In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of quantum simulations of curved spacetimes (analogue gravity).
Possible topics include implementations of analogues of trans-Planckian physics in cosmology and in Hawking radiation, and the proper treatment of the quantum backreaction problem.
Initial appointment is for one year with a possible extension to two years. Salary is according to the Korean postdoc scale.
Ph.D. and Postdoc positions are available in the integrated hybrid quantum circuits group at IQST University of Calgary.

I have an open postdoctoral position in my group at the University of Chicago in the general areas of theoretical quantum condensed matter, quantum optics and quantum information. Topics of interest include dynamics, control, topology and correlations in driven dissipative quantum systems, with a focus on superconducting circuits (circuit QED).
