Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, announces a post-doc position in theory of quantum information processing with photonic continuous variables, funded within EU Quantum Flagship and a national research project. The research will be applied to quantum communications and experimental-theoretical collaboration with the leading experimental groups in the field is foreseen. The position is in the Quantum Communications sub-group, led by Dr. Vladyslav Usenko, within the Quantum Optics Theory group of prof. Radim Filip.

Palacky University in Olomouc is announcing the opening of a post-doc position in the field of theory of quantum communication with application to satellite links, within a project funded by the European Space Agency. The research will be primarily focused on quantum key distribution with faint laser pulses and single photon detectors and will include international experimental-theoretical collaboration.

A post-doctoral position is opened at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG, formerly INAC) of the CEA Grenoble (France) on the theory and modeling of arrays of silicon-on-insulator quantum bits (qubits). This position fits into an ERC Synergy project, quCube, aimed at developing two-dimensional arrays of such qubits. The selected candidate is expected to start between October and December 2019, for up to three years.

To support young talents on their transition from postdocs to independent researchers, MCQST is offering
Junior Researcher START Fellowships. With a total budget of 300.000 € for a funding-period of
two-years, the fellow has the opportunity to start her/his own scientific project in one of the research areas
of MCQST. The funds are flexible and may be spent in accordance with DFG rules for instrumentations,
staff, consumables, travels as well as for the fellow’s own salary. Laboratory and office space will be provided
by one of the MCQST Principle Investigators (PIs).

A postdoctoral position is available to work at QuTech in TU Delft on the classical postprocessing of quantum key distribution.
