ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences (http://www.icfo.eu), a centre based in Barcelona (Spain), devoted to research and education of the optical and photonic sciences at the highest international level, is offering a postdoctoral position in experimental quantum information theory. The open postdoc positions will be to work in the theory group of Professor Cristiano Ciuti, who was recently awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Grant entitled ‘Theory of strongly correlated photonic systems’ (CORPHO). <!--break-->
A suitably qualified and experienced individual is required to carry out independent research in theoretical cold atomic physics. The research is contributing to the efforts of the international MATTERWAVE consortium that aims at building and characterising a guided matter wave interferometer based on cold trapped atoms.
