The York Centre for Quantum Technologies (YCQT) is an interdisciplinary centre that includes activities in the departments of Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Physics. YCQT also hosts the leadership of the UK Quantum Communications Hub, with Professor Tim Spiller as the Director of both the Centre and the national Hub. The Quantum Communications Hub has been awarded further EPSRC funding for a five-year Phase 2 through to 2024. This new Hub collaboration will again be led by York.

The Russian Quantum Center (www.rqc.ru) opens a position of a group leader in the domain of Coherent Microoptics and Microwave Photonics. The candidates are expected to have a long standing experience of working in experiments in this domain and in supervising students and young researchers.

The Department of Physics and the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invite applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Quantum Information. The successful candidate will be jointly appointed in the Department of Physics (51%) and the Department of Computer Science (49%) at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2020, or shortly thereafter.

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for one or more full-time faculty positions in Quantum Information Science (QIS), including both theory and experiment, in the departments of Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics. QIS is strongly supported at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a 15M investment in the new Illinois Quantum Information Science and Technology center (IQUIST), in addition to a 100M state investment in a new quantum research center.

As part of plans to build on existing strengths, expand in the field of quantum information science, and align with state-wide investments in data sciences and cybersecurity, the College of Science at Virginia Tech (http://www.science.vt.edu/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Theoretical Quantum Information Science at any rank (assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor).
