The Quantum Information Group (GIQ) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
(UAB) offers several positions for postdoctoral researchers (2 years, with
the possibility of extension) and PhD students (up to 4 years), starting
1 January 2022 or shortly after.

We offer full-time employment for a maximum period of 4.5 years as part of the Sonata BIS 10 project entitled "Simulations of physical systems using near future annealing technology". The position was financed by the National Science Center. The research area of the project is quantum computing, quantum programming (including quantum annealing), artificial intelligence and simulations of physical systems using near-future annealing technology at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics of the Polish

The Department of Mathematics at Nottingham Trent University, UK has a fulltime opening: Research Assistant in Quantum Intelligence. The successful candidate will assist Dr Amir Pourabdollah and Dr Colin Wilmott in undertaking research tasks for the project "QuaNTUm: Exploring Quantum Computing Use Cases for Finance and Healthcare".

DESCRIPTION
Study of fundamental bounds and optimal protocols in quantum metrology in presence of correlated noise models in optical and atomic systems both in single and multiparamter problems.

The requirements:
• PhD degree in the field of physics obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project
• research experience in theoretical quantum information and quantum metrology
• significant scientific publication record
• very good English
• experience in supervising research of younger colleagues/students is welcomed
