The University of Nottingam is pleased to announce 10 Visiting Fellowships for early career university lecturers and post-doctoral researchers currently working at recognised universities in Brazil.

Specifically, a call for up to two fellows in Quantum Information Theory is available under "Mathematical Sciences".

*Aims of the scheme
-Promote research collaboration between leading groups in Nottingham and Brazil through projects undertaken initially at Nottingham
-Support capacity development within Brazilian universities
-Enable Visiting Fellows to obtain insight into the organisation and conduct of research, teaching and administration at the University
-Help support developing partnerships and identify possible new partnerships

*Eligibility
-Post-doctoral researchers or early career lecturers currently working in full-time academic positions at recognised Brazilian institutions
-Applicants must have held their permanent university post for less than 3 years
-Applicants must be employees of a Brazilian university. Students, such as PhD students, are not eligible to apply

*Duration
-12 weeks from 16 April 2012 to 6 July 2012

*Funding
-Free self catering accommodation
-£425 per month over three months + £500 towards travel costs (total - £1775)

*Application Procedure
-Applicants must apply for one of the research areas identified on the website. (Quantum Information Theory is project number 10 under Mathematical Sciences)
-Each research area has a link to a document containing further information and a named member of academic staff who can be contacted for further information (for Quantum Information Theory: gerardo.adesso@nottingham.ac.uk).
