Opportunity: CIRTA – Quantum Computing (PhD & Postdoc) 🇨🇦
The Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards (CIRTA) are a new Tri-Agency initiative to recruit outstanding international PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to Canada.
Funding
• PhD: $40,000/year for 3 years
• Postdoc: $70,000/year for 2 years
We are inviting expressions of interest for nomination to CIRTA in the following research areas:
• Quantum algorithms
• Quantum learning
• Quantum complexity
• Quantum error correction
Successful applicants will be co-supervised by Dave Touchette and Cunlu Zhou at Université de Sherbrooke, working at the interface of quantum computing, complexity, and quantum information theory.
Important: These awards are highly competitive and intended for candidates with a strong research track record. Please reach out only if you can demonstrate clear, evidence-backed research achievements.
Note that applicants cannot have a current affiliation with a Canadian institution and must be currently studying or working abroad.
