The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology Group at Stockholm University seeks a postdoctoral researcher for experimental work on collective quantum phenomena with trapped ions, as part of the QuantERA project "Collective quantum phenomena in dissipative systems – towards time-crystal applications in sensing and metrology" (CoQuaDis). Responsibilities include precision measurements and analysis of open quantum systems, developing new quantum simulation applications, collaborating with theory partners in Tübingen and Mallorca, and mentoring PhD and Master's students. The position is full-time for a minimum of two and up to three years, with a possible extension, starting as soon as possible or by agreement.
Candidates should hold a PhD in experimental physics, quantum optics, atomic physics, trapped ions, or a closely related field, with hands-on experimental skills in laser systems, optics, and quantum control.
Further details on the group are available at https://qtech.fysik.su.se.
