Research Fellow in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics

The Physics department at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, is looking to employ a full time Post Doctoral Fellow in theoretical condensed matter physics for a fixed term two year position with a possibility for extension. The focus of the research will be in topological states of matter, systems out of equilibrium, open systems, and light-matter interaction.
The post holder will be based at Ben-Gurion University in the group of Prof Eytan Grosfeld, will conduct theoretical research in this area of condensed matter physics and will be expected to work towards the success of the project according to plans and needs of the collaboration. The successful candidate should hold a PhD in the relevant field and have a strong research track record, including academic publications. He/she must hold good mathematical and computational skills and have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as they arise. It is desirable that the post holder has a relevant background in the physics of topological states of matter, mesoscopic devices, transport and/or light-matter interaction in solid-state.
Applications should be sent directly to Prof Eytan Grosfeld (grosfeld@bgu.ac.il), and should include a curriculum vitae, a brief research statement (2 pages max) and a list of publications. The applicant should arrange for three reference letters to be sent to the same address. To ensure full consideration applications should be submitted before 15 July 2018.
