Theory and Experiment

Centre for Quantum Technologies, Singapore

Our mission is to conduct interdisciplinary theoretical and experimental research into the fundamental limits to information processing. The discovery that quantum physics allows fundamentally new modes of information processing has required the existing theories of computation, information and cryptography to be superseded by their quantum generalisations.

Quantum Information Science & Controlled Quantum Dynamics Group - Institute for Theoretical Physics @ Uni Ulm - Germany

*Site under construction*

Understanding interacting quantum many body system and engineering and exploiting such quantum systems for quantum information purposes or quantum simulations pose some of the most outstanding challenges in quantum physics.

Furthermore, our group investigates the possibility of forming interfaces between the these many-body systems and light in order to generate novel non-classical light sources and quantum memories for light.

Quantum Information and Technologies in Madrid

Quitemad is a consortium of five groups working in different aspects of QIPC in the region of Madrid. This project is a four year coordinated action funded by the regional goverment. Apart from research in technological and theoretical aspects of of quantum information theory, the consortium is strongly devoted to the development of a four year program of activities, such as workshops, conferences, seminars and scientific exchange between local and international groups.

Complex Quantum Systems - CoQuS, University of Vienna

Research and teaching in Vienna are focusing on modern developments in quantum information technologies, quantum communication, entanglement with photons and with massive objects, quantum teleportation, neutron optics, atom chips, molecular quantum optics, as well as quantum physics in nanostructured solids, such as quantum dots and quantum cascade lasers.
