We work on applications of quantum optical techniques to spectroscopy and imaging.
This position is advertised across specialisations, and includes the following possible research topics:
1. Quantum information Theory.
2. Quantum neural networks and quantum learning algorithms.
3. Quantum computation in the context of classical message-passing on graphs and quantum graph states.
4. Graph theoretic measures applied to quantum information processing, non-contextuality and generalised physical theories, and to quantum information capacities.
5. Quantum contextuality, quantum entanglement, Bell inequalities and related topics.

Salary: £34576 to £46414 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression subject to performance.
Applications are invited from outstanding candidates for the above post. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute substantially to maintaining and enhancing the School’s high standards in teaching and research.
The school aims to provide a broad overview of different implementations of quantum information processing and quantum simulation enabled by recent progress in nanotechnologies. Seven leading experts will review the experimental and theoretical state-of-the-art for some of the most promising implementations such as semiconductor quantum dots, superconducting circuits, defect centers in diamond, photonic crystal structures, and topological insulators and explore the prospects of quantum computing, quantum simulation, and the physics of quantum many-body systems.

I am announcing 6th Working Group Meeting of COST Action MP1209 "Thermodynamics in the Quantum Regime". We have an excellent complement of speakers lined up and this meeting promises to be an exciting one.
