About project:

The Complex Photonic Systems Group at the University of Twente’s MESA+ Institute for Nanotechology is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in quantum optics for the project ‘Quantum Nano Keys’.

The project

Our groups at Virginia Tech are looking to hire several postdocs in theoretical Quantum Information Science and Condensed Matter/AMO Physics. The focus of these positions will be on quantum simulation/computing with superconducting qubits, quantum control, semiconductor spin qubits, many body localization and time crystals.

We are now seeking an outstanding student or postdoc with an interest in quantum system identification to join our team in Berlin.

This project is concerned with notions of quantum state and process tomography, randomized benchmarking, certification of quantum processes, property verification and estimation, and learning of quantum features.

Two postdoctoral positions are available for projects developing and demonstrating diamond nanophotonic and optomechanical technologies for applications in quantum sensing and information processing, including but not limited to quantum transduction, quantum memory, wavelength translation, and spin-photon entanglement.

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following: quantum emitter spectroscopy (e.g. quantum dots, NV centres, cold atoms), nanophotonic device design and experiment, nanofabrication, quantum optics experiment, cryogenics/low-T experiment, NEMS.

USC’s Information Sciences Institute (ISI) invites applications for a postdoc position starting immediately. This is a 1-year appointment with a strong possibility of reappointment.

In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of quantum simulations of curved spacetimes (the so-called analogue gravity).
Possible topics include implementations of analogues of trans-Planckian physics in cosmology and in Hawking radiation, and the proper treatment of the quantum backreaction problem.
Initial appointment is for one year with a possible extension to two years. Salary is according to the Korean postdoc scale.
