The research group (http://iqoqi.at/en/group-page-romero-isart) led by Oriol Romero-Isart at the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (Innsbruck, Austria) announces the opening of a PhD and a PostDoc position. PhD appointments are for up to 4 years, while PostDoc appointments are for 1+1 years.

The open postdoc positions will be to work in the theory group of Professor Cristiano Ciuti, who was recently awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Grant entitled ‘Theory of strongly correlated photonic systems’ (CORPHO). <!--break-->

A suitably qualified and experienced individual is required to carry out independent research in theoretical cold atomic physics. The research is contributing to the efforts of the international MATTERWAVE consortium that aims at building and characterising a guided matter wave interferometer based on cold trapped atoms.

A suitably qualified and experienced individual is required to carry out research on experimental Atomic Physics and Ultracold Bose Fermi mixtures. The research is part <!--break-->
of a project investigating transport and localisation in ultracold quantum gases, especially a caesium BEC with lithium impurities. Candidates must have a PhD in physics <!--break-->
and experience with experimental manipulation of ultracold atomic gases, atomic physics and quantum optics. They should be confident, have good communication skills <!--break-->

I am looking for postdoc candidates who are interested in joining my
theoretical quantum optics group at the University of Calgary.
Our research interests are briefly described below. My group
is part of the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology at the

The Department of Quantum Optics and Atomic Physics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a project in the area of theoretical quantum information with a special focus on quantum metrology.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited for the position of a Research Associate (initially for 1 year, extendable upto 3 years based on performance) under the project “Topology, quantum computation and spintronics with Dirac materials” in the School of Physical Sciences, NISER funded by DST Nanomisssion, Govt. of India.
Qualification - Candidate should have Ph.D degree in Physics (or, should have submitted the thesis), preferably in theory. Fellowship: Rs.24,000+HRA (as per DST norms) per month. Age: Maximum 35 years.
