We are looking for a quantum theorist to join our Quantum Theory Team in Edinburgh. This position will be focused on (i)
developing open systems tools for modelling
nanoscale quantum devices with unprecedented accuracy and efficiency; and (ii) applying these
to real devices and seeing them tested by our experimental collaborators.

The Quantum Information Group at Lund University, Sweden is advertising a 2 year postdoc position (an additional 2 year extension might be possible).

The Lund Quantum Information Group works with rare earth ion doped crystals. The successful applicant may work with one or several of the following projects:

A) Slow light techniques (few km/s) for medical imaging deep inside tissue enabled by quantum state engineering in rare earth crystals

Postdoc positions available in experimental neutral atom quantum computing. Join us in developing the world's most powerful quantum computer using arrays of atomic qubits. The successful applicant will have experience with some or all of: optics, lasers, laser cooling, optical trapping, quantum algorithms and quantum information theory. We are looking for motivated PhD students or postdocs to join the group of Dr. Yuan Haidong at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The group works in the field of quantum information, quantum control, quantum metrology, and other quantum technology. The group is theoretical but works closely with experimentists.

The quantum optics group (Prof. Martin Weitz) at the University of Bonn invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of ultracold atomic gases. Our group is among the worldwide few groups realizing quantum gases of rare earth element atoms. The postdoc vacancy is in a laboratory in which we using an atomic erbium Bose-Einstein condensate are working to realize fractional quantum Hall physics with a well-controlled cold atom system.
