The Quantum Science and Technologies Group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position. The position is open to those having an active interest and track record of publication in theoretical aspects of quantum information science, such as quantum information theory, quantum error correction, quantum computational complexity theory, or quantum optical communication.

Postdoctoral position is available for analytic and numerical simulations of entanglement features of plasmonic nanoparticles at Fano resonances.

Research will be conducted at Hacettepe University, the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, in Ankara, Turkey. The coordinator of the project is Dr. Mehmet Emre Tasgin.

A theoretical background in Quantum Optics and capability of scripting in Matlab is required.

The salary is 2250 Turkish Liras (no taxes apply) and the extent of the position is 18 months.

The Leverhulme Trust has funded a two-year Senior Research Associate position at Lancaster University, UK, to work with Dr Alexander Belton on a project entitled "Quantum random walks and quasi-free quantum stochastic calculus".
